Here it is!

After the dinner, I got a bag (which had a maple leaf on it and it said canada on the side :P ) stuffed with all kinds of food. That was actually a perfect good bye present! They know I'm going on a road trip tomorrow and that my luggage is limited - so I got things I can actually use and it won't take any space in my backpack when I'm leaving for Arizona later on... They got a little gift from me as well, haha it was a frisbee and I had written a thank you message on the back - thought that was a good way to remind them of me!

So now I'm going to sleep my last night here in colwood, not in victoria fortunately - that will wait three weeks! And tomorrow morning I'll get up fairly early, head downtown, meet up with Isabella and pick up our rental car and head up vancouver island - really looking forward to our trip!

I think I'm going to miss living so close to the ocean!

Och körde hem flickorna från skolan för sista gången, firades med en bild haha

.

Kvällen spenderades hemma hos med Lena och Julia hemma hos Julia, lagade lite tacos och kollade film. Natten blev onödigt spännande när jag och Lena körde hem. Den involverade bilar, två assholes till killar och snälla poliser. Ingen skada skedd som tur var!

.

Nu lördagskväll och jag är hemkommen från en lacrosse-match (har aldrig sett det förut så det var... intressant - typ som hockey fast utan is och med nätklubbor haha). Sedan bar det iväg till en skottländsk pub :) Nöjd med kvällen och glad att den inte innehöll några oväntade incidenter som igår!

Imorgon är det sista dagen hos min värdfamilj, en avskedsmiddag i form av 'turkey dinner' imorgonkväll ska bli riktigt nice :D

Fredag och superfint väder, jag och Isabella käkade lunch vid Thetis lake

.

Fredagskvällen spenderades först med ett gäng au pair-flickor och spelandes av spel :) Och sedan bar det iväg till en frisbee-kompis där ett gäng spelare möttes upp innan vi skulle iväg för att spela great art hawkins ultimate game (spela ultimate och samla in pengar till välgörenhet - 27 städeri kanada deltog och alla spelade på olika tider, så en 27-timmars lång ultimate match. Poängen adderades hela tiden från stad till stad...)

Våran tid var kl 1-2 am så det blev nattultimate för oss! Riktigt najs!

Lördag och jag och Lena (an ny au pair) begav oss till Mount douglas! Vandrade upp för berget för att chilla och titta på utsikten. Även de längsta bussturerna och svettiga vandringar blir roliga när man har trevligt sällskap!

.

Lördagkväll och det var utgång som gällde. Firande av Isabella som fyllde år i veckan :) Förfest hos Isabella och sen bussen in till stan - kul kul!

.

Söndag och jag var tröött, två kvällar/nätter när man somnat efter fyra haha. Sov till tolv för att sedan inte göra så mycket alls :) Träffade Isabella på kvällen -Starbucks- för att planera våran lilla trip som vi påbörjar om en vecka!

.

Nu är jag ikapp med nutiden! Måndag ch jag sitter i solen och bloggar :) ultimate träning ikväll :D Och min sista vecka som au pair har börjat! :) :(

My friday could have been different though, I was invited to a BBQ at a house of some frisbee people and to a house party at a friend of a friends place... But the dance show had been planned for a loong time so that was what I chose :)

.

Saturday and I went downtown with one mission in my mind - to buy a backpack! I had checked up some online and ended up buying the one I thought I would so it didn't take very long.

Then after a 'fika' at serious coffee, I went home and then right away to Agnes place; we were to book our flights to Montreal!! And so we did :D I'm so excited! We're going in the end of July and then i'll fly directly to Phoenix from there. Had dinner at agnes' place, niice with bbq chicken and potatoes. We went home to place and waited for Isabella and then the three of us went to a pub close by my place. Nice time with girl-talk and some beer and cheesecake.

Sunday morning and my alarm clock is set on a too early time. Up to get to the bus to come in time for my practise, and I definitely came on time. I underestimated the bus system and cam 50 min before the practise started haha. Normal practise and then right away to have lunch with some au pair friends at Irish times yum yum! Got sun burnt though, but it's started to fade away now :) We walked around a bit downtown, to a market and ate some ice cream - simply said we were having a good time. Took the bus home again and finally I could get my shower, hehe I can say that you don't feel very nice going directly from a two-hour practise to a restaurant! In the evening a frisbee friend picked me up and we went for some more ice cream with a couple of other people, among other a swedish girl from Sundsvall. Fun to speak some swedish irl not only on skype. The ice cream was goood and yeah a great way to end a week :D On the we home we passed the parliament building and it's pretty neat at night:

Going to bed early tonight cause I've got a little cold :/ So good night everyone!

I must say that the view from my bus stop is pretty nice!

We stayed in a house with very international residents, people from canada, england, new zealand, france and then when I came also Sweden :P I had a really hard time understanding the british guy, maybe because it was so long since I heard british english or that he just had a very big accent, hope for the latter haha. Up early in the morning to get to the fields at UBC (University of British Columbia), apparently that university has like 150 000 students, hehe that's more than the people living in my home town. The fields were the same as the ones I played on in 2008 at the world ultimate championships so lots of memories came back when I saw them and played there. Our first game was at the Thunderbird stadium (where the finals were played during worlds and where the opening ceremony was - so it was a great place to start the tournamnet at).

We won all our game on saturday and it was super nice weather! I played great (I guess I'm allowed to brag a bit since it's my blog haha) and had the highest percentage of completions (amount of drops or throw-aways divided by amount of disch touches) in the team! Another success was that I only got a tiny sunburn on my calves, hehe compared to the other tournaments i've been to where I've burned my face all the time. Great teammates and awesome field food didn't make the day worse! Yet again i must say that Sweden and Europe suck at field food compared to Canada/USA.

Directly after the last game we headed off to watch the Canucks game in another teammate's house, for you who don't know - the Vancouver Canucks are playing the Stanley Cup final. We were like 30 people and it was super fun, the cunucks won in over time yaay! afterwards we headed to a pub for some beer (yes i actually drunk a beer :P) and hanging out. So a better first-day-of-a-tournament is hard to get :D

Sunday and more games to play, I was really excited and we continued to play really well! We won the first game easily 13 - 0, the second game was a lot harder but we won. I got a hard foot block on my hand, the defender hit my hand instead of the disc. I can say that the first thing you don't wanna do after that is to throw again but what to do what to do...

.

I'm pulling - must say I'm pretty proud of my up-wind pulls this weekend!

.

So the last game - the final! It was against a team from Saskatchewan which we played and won against on the saturday. But they stepped up and gave us a really hard game, I think they were up by two or three berfore we catched up and played the last universal point..... and we won! So flowerbowl champions, yaay! It was a hard and long final game, I played a lot and was soo tired afterwards.

Watched the guys play before we left quite early to catch the 5 ferry, which we missed haha so instead we spent an hour and a half sitting at a restaurant at the ferry terminal (:

Overall a super great weekend, already looking forward to the next tournament!!

Måste bara nämna att det var en superfin natt att köra hem i ikväll, stjärnklart och stilla. Jag var tvungen att parkera bilen vid lagunen (den som är supernära mitt hus) och stå vid strandkanten, lyssna på vågorna och tiita upp på stjärnorna. Jag kunde stått där hur länge som helst :)
